My transition into #Wilful Womanhood was not at all rainbows and butterflies. I started like most of the middle-aged female and married-with-children population - overwhelmed, underappreciated and hidden underneath the half martyrdom of being my family's first and biggest people-pleaser.

To be honest, it took me over 10 years to realize it no longer worked for me. It took a traumatic event in my life and the most out of place feeling I've ever known.
